BOISE, Idaho-Boise State cracked the College Swimming Coaches Association of America Top 25 for the first time in school history, Friday, checking in at No. 23. The six-member poll committee voted based on the predicted order of finish at this month's NCAA Championships.

The poll results come on the heels of Boise State qualifying its first relay for the NCAA Championships. Amber Boucher, Stevie Hughey, Sydney Johansen and Stephanie North teamed up to clock the 14th-fastest 200-yard freestyle relay time in the country (1:29.73) and will represent the Broncos at the national meet, March 15-17, in Auburn, Ala.

The quartet will be able to put the Broncos in the hunt for points in three additional relays at the meet. Boucher and North also present serious scoring opportunities in their individual events, while Hughey and Johansen have an outside chance to pick up points individually, which could make Boise State a factor in the team standings.

The Broncos finished 39th at the 2011 NCAA Championships, the first appearance in school history. Boucher and North competed at the meet last season, with Boucher scoring five points for her 12th-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly.
