BOISE, Idaho-Boise State swimming and diving added a handful of academic awards to its list of accomplishments from the 2011-12 season. The Broncos were tabbed a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for Spring 2012. Six team members earned individual recognition.

Boise State posted a team grade-point average of 3.28 during the spring semester, earning the team award from the CSCAA for the sixth-consecutive semester. The Broncos' cumulative team GPA for the season was 3.312.

Amber Boucher and Stephanie North picked up CSCAA Scholar All-America honors, individually. The organization bestows this honor on student-athletes who carry at least a 3.5 GPA and qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. This marks the second time Boucher has earned the recognition (2010-11), in addition to an honorable mention nod in 2009-10. It is the first national academic honor for North.

Amanda Burnett, Ciera Cortney, Heather Harper and Emily Irvin were all named 2011-12 Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans. This award is handed out to swimming and diving student-athletes who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher and achieve provisional qualifying marks in their respective sports, but do not qualify for the national championships. Burnett and Cortney earned the same award last season.
