ELK GROVE, Calif. – Boise State redshirt junior men’s golfer Jordan Skyles carded a three-round total of 214 (-2) at the Sacramento State Invitational, finishing tied for seventh Tuesday to lead the Broncos to their best finish in more than a year.

Skyles, who posted back-to-back sub-par rounds Monday (71-70), carded a final-round 73 (+1) at the Valley Hi Country Club en route to his second-career top-10 finish.

The effort also matched Skyles’ best finish as a Bronco, recorded at the Cougar Classic in his Boise State debut, Sept. 12-13, 2011.

Senior T.K. Kim notched his seventh top-25 finish in as many tournaments this season, tying for 17th with a 54-hole score of 218 (71-74-73; +2). His seven top-25 finishes this season are a career best, and give him 15 for his career – tied for the eighth-most all-time at Boise State (Adam Choy; 2002-06).

The duo led Boise State to a fourth-place team finish, its best since finishing second at the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate, Oct. 3-4, 2011.

The Broncos’ 5-over 869 included an opening-round 287 (-1) – tied for the lowest single-round team score in relation to par this season. The Broncos followed with a second-round 289 (+1), and a final-round 293 (+5).

UC Santa Barbara won the tournament at 853 (-11).

Freshman Logan France (74-72-75), senior Clayton Kosanovich (75-73-73) and sophomore Jon VanDyk each tied for 30th with three-round totals of 221 (+5).

The Broncos will continue their spring season March 21-23 at the Desert Shootout in Phoenix.
