FRESNO, Calif.--The Boise State men's tennis team defeated the Nevada Wolf Pack, 4-2 at the Sierra Sport and Racquet Club. Garrett Patton clinched the victory in the third set for Boise State when he defeated Nevada's Andrew Poustie on court four, 6-4, 0-6, 6-3.

The top-ranked Broncos quickly clinched the doubles point on Saturday evening. The No. 2 doubles team of Brendan McClain and Garrett Patton defeated Moez Chargui and Quentin Mege, 8-1. The win gave the duo their 17th win of the season. On court three, Toby Mitchell and Nathan Sereke defeated Fernando Sunago and Poustie, 8-4. With the win, the Mitchell and Sereke combination have won ten matches in a row.

Heading into singles play with the 1-0 lead, Nevada's Victor Ouvrard defeated Andy Bettles on court one, 6-2, 6-1. Nathan Sereke would regain the lead for the Broncos (2-1) with his 6-2, 6-2 victory over Chargui on court two.

On court five, Nevada's Ryan Andrada defeated Brendan McClain 6-2, 6-2. Thomas Tenreiro tilted the score again in favor of the Broncos. He was victorious on court three, defeating Mege 6-1, 6-4 and moved Boise State into the lead (3-2).

Soon after, Patton's win on court four sealed the match for the Broncos, 4-2. Patton is on a nine match winning streak and is 6-1 against conference opponents. Boise State is now 27-4 this season and 7-0 against Mountain West opponents.

Court six was abandoned once the match was decided. Toby Mitchell and Fernando Sunago were battling, as Mitchell won the first set 6-2, and Sunago was up 5-4 in the second set.

With the victory, the Broncos advance to their third-consecutive Mountain West Championship final. Boise State will play New Mexico, Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. (MT).
