Travis Leads Broncos at Gene Memorial Falcon Invitational

Colorado Springs, Colo. - Senior Ty Travis is one stroke back of the top-25 after the first two rounds of the Gene Memorial Falcon Invitational Saturday, leading the Boise State men's golf team at their first tournament of the season.

Travis carded rounds of 74-71, with a 36-hole total of 145 (+1) at the par-72, 7,401-yard Eisenhower Blue Course at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. He fired six birdies total, five coming in his 1-under finish in the second round. Travis will enter the final round tied for 26th.

The Broncos are in 13th place as a team following scores of 298-296 en route to a 594 (+18). UNLV leads the field at 555 (-21).

Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were junior Logan France (75, 75--150, +6), sophomore David Elliott (76-74--150, +6), freshman Tristan Rohrbaugh (73, 78--151, +7), and freshman Jacob Byers (76,76--152, +8).

The final round is scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. (MT) Sunday, and live scoring will be available at Birdiefire.com.
