BOISE, Idaho - The Broncos had some fun on their second day in San Diego for the 2015 Poinsettia Bowl, starting the day with a visit to the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

Four busloads of coaches, athletes, families and staff arrived at the zoo in the morning for about four hours of exploration. Head coach Bryan Harsin and the Bronco seniors, however, had a special event on the docket as they were able to get up close and personal with a few of the animals.

Zoo staff gave the group a presentation on Jake the Sea Lion, as well as on a Pacific Northwest beaver before the athletes and Harsin got to meet them. Numerous players as well as Harsin lined up to meet Jake, giving him hugs, pats, and even kisses for the most intrepid of the Broncos. Among those getting a love tap from Jake were Marcus Henry, Robert Ash, Kevin Keane, Kelsey Young and even Harsin himself.

The rest of the team split up into groups or even went solo to explore the zoo, checking out exhibits ranging from polar bears, lions, elephants, gorillas to snakes. After a few hours of moving around, it was time to head back to the buses and head to practice at Southwestern College.

The Broncos practiced and prepared for Wednesday's contest against Northern Illinois (8-5), and following the workout returned to the hotel for interviews, meetings, and relaxation.
