France Tied for Second at PING Cougar Classic

PROVO, Utah -- Boise State junior men's golfer Logan France is tied for second after the opening rounds of the PING Cougar Classic Friday, the Broncos' final tournament before the Mountain West Men's Golf Championships.
France fired nine birdies total on the day, complete with an eagle on hole 13 in the second round, en route to a 5-under 139 (73, 66).
Junior Shane Allor will also enter the final round in the top 10, completing the first two rounds with a 2-under 142 (70, 72) at the par-72, 7,142-yard Riverside Country Club.
Boise State carded a team score of 581 (+5) and will enter the final round in ninth place. Colorado State leads the field at 564 (-12).
Rounding out the scoring for the Broncos were sophomore David Elliott (72, 74 -- 146, +2), senior Ty Travis (76, 80 -- 156, +12) and senior Jon VanDyk (83, 78 -- 161, +17).
