Jackson Leads Boise State Past Wyoming

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Lonnie Jackson knocked down seven 3-pointers, five in the second half, and scored 21 points as Boise State topped short-handed Wyoming, 81-71 Saturday.
Jackson's 21 points are his most as a Bronco. The seven three-pointers are his most as a Bronco and matches his career high set Dec. 18, 2011, while a freshman at Boston College.
Wyoming was without guard Josh Adams, who was issued a one-game suspension by the Mountain West Conference for repeated violations of the conference sportsmanship policy.
After being tied at halftime, 38-38, Boise State opened the second half on a 9-2 run to take control. Jackson hit three 3-pointers over a four-minute span that left the Broncos in front, 55-47 with 14:45 remaining.
Mikey Thompson scored seven points in the final 1:26, including a three-point play with 34 seconds left to make it 79-68.
Thompson finished with 15 points and dished out five assists for Boise State (15-5, 6-1), and Anthony Drmic added 15 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists and two steals.
Drmic and Jackson combined to shoot 12-for-22 from the field, including 10-for-20 from three-point range.
Boise State forced Wyoming (10-11, 3-5 MW) into 14 turnovers, while committing just five. The Broncos have had fewer than 10 turnovers in six of the last 10 games.
Jason McManamen scored 25 points and Alan Herndon had 16 to lead the Cowboys.
