2020-21: CROSS COUNTRY- Secured a top-20 finish at the Silver State Collegiate Challenge (Feb. 1)...appeared at the Battle Born Challenge (Feb.19)...logged a top-50 finish at the Mountain West Championships (March 5)…INDOOR- Did not compete...OUTDOOR- Debut outdoor season at the Hayward Premiere (April 2-3), finished 13th in the 1,500-meter...closed as the top Bronco in the 800m with a time of 1:52.7...finished seventh in the 800m Invite at the Oregon Relays (April 23-24)...closed third in the 800m at the West Coast Relays (April 30)...secured the second qualifying spot in the final of the 800m at the Mountain West Championships (May 13-15)...earned the bronze medal in the final with a time of 1:51.80.
2019-20: CROSS COUNTRY - Ran in four meets for the Broncos…finished 11th at the Sagebrush Invitational (Aug. 31)…competed at the Bill Dellinger Invitational (Sept. 29)…ran with the “B” squad at the Nuttycombe Invitational (Oct. 18)…was the fifth scorer for Boise State at the Mountain West Championships (Nov. 1), running a personal-best time of 24:13.5...INDOOR- Began the season at the Bronco Invite (Jan. 18) finishing third in the 600-meter and first as a member of the 4x400m relay team…set a PR in the 1,000m at the Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 24-25) running a time of 2:27.64...clocked a PR in the 800m at the UW Invitational (Jan 31 - Feb 1)…the mark moved him into fifth in Boise State history…part of the men’s 4x800m relay team to finish second at the Jackson’s Nike Boise Indoor Meet (Feb. 7-8)…ran as part of the men’s distance medley relay which won gold at the Mountain West Indoor Championships (Feb. 27-29) earning All-MW accolades for the effort…garnered a second-place finish in the 800m, securing his second All-MW honor of the championships…OUTDOOR- Season canceled due to coronavirus pandemic.
2018-19: CROSS COUNTRY- Saw action in three meets on the season...opened the season with a 25th place effort at the Sundodger Invitational in his cross country debut (Sept. 8)...ran 25:27.8 for 8k at the Charles Bowles Invitational, placing 27th on the day (Sept. 29)...posted a time of 25:36 in the 8k at the Inland Empire Championships (Oct. 13)...INDOOR- Ran 4:31.24 for the mile at the Bronco Invitational (Jan. 12)...came from behind to win the 1000m in the final stretch at the Ed Jacoby Invitational and Mutlis, winning in a time of 2:29.5 (Jan. 18-19)...ran the 400m leg of Boise State’s distance medley relay at the UW Invitational (Jan. 25-26)...took fourth in the 800m in 1:55.50 at the Jacksons/Nike Boise Indoor Invite (Feb. 1-2)...took second in the 800m at the Bronco Challenge (Feb. 9)...was the fastest non-qualifier in the 800m at the conference championships, running 1:54.41 (Feb. 21-23)...OUTDOOR- Made seven appearances during the outdoor season, specializing in the 800m and 1,500-meter...qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round thanks to a fourth-place finish at the conference championships, running 1:50.36 to move to fourth on the school record book (May 8-11)...placed 44th in Sacramento in the 800m (May 23-25)...ran a personal best of 3:50.25 in the 1,500-meter at the Portland Twilight (May 3)...appeared in the 1,500-meter at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic (March 28-30) and Bryan Clay Invitational (April 17-19)...won the 800m at the Sun Angel Classic (April 5-6) and took second in the event at the Border Clash (April 26-27).
2017-18: CROSS COUNTRY- Redshirt season...INDOOR- Reached the final of the 800m at the Mountain West Championships, racing a personal best 1:53.68 to finish ninth (Feb. 22-24)...ran a personal best 1:54.34 in the 800m at the Boise State Challenge...ran as the anchor of the men’s 4x400m relay team that took 2nd place (Feb. 10)...ran 1:55.56 for 800m at the UW Invitational (Jan. 26-27)...finished second in the 600m in 1:19.92 at the Bronco Invitational (Jan. 20) . . . Ran the 800m at the Jacksons Open (Dec. 9) and Ed Jacoby Invitational (Jan. 12-13) . . . Best finish came at the Ed Jacoby Invitational, running 1:55.18 to finish third...OUTDOOR- Appeared in four meets during the outdoor season...again qualified for the final of the 800m at the Outdoor Mountain West Championships (May 9-12),placing ninth with a time of 1:53.52 in the final...opened the season with a 3:56.77 effort in the 1,500m, while also running a leg of the 4x400 (March 30-31)...season best in the 800m came at the Sun Angel Classic, taking 11th with a time of 1:53.25 (April 5-7)...took second at the Border Clash (April 27-28) thanks to a time of 1:53.53
PRIOR TO BOISE STATE
Grinwis tallied four state titles while at Bozeman HS, all of which came at the 2017 Montana A Track and Field State Championships...won the 400m (50.21), 800m (1:54.10), 1,600m (4:21.85) and ran a leg on the winning 4x400m relay (3:25.74) team...set a meet record in the 800m at the 2017 USATF Hershey Youth Indoor Championships, clocking a 1:56.15 to claim the victory and set the new best time in the 17-18 category...was fifth at the 2016 state championships.
