MOSCOW, Idaho - Boise State (1-1-1) earned a 1-1 draw against Idaho (1-1-1) Friday night in the Kibbie Dome. Baylee Blaser scored her third goal of the season for the Broncos in the 74th minute for a temporary 1-0 lead, but the Vandals found the equalizer in the final second (89:59) of the second half to tie the game.

As expected, the rivalry game was a physical battle that featured 10 yellow cards and 39 fouls between the two teams. Idaho finished the night with 18 shots while Boise State managed 11.

Blaser's goal came on a rebound off a shot from McKenna Kynett just a few yards away from the UI keeper. Raimee Sherle found Kynett on a beautiful centering pass, leading the way for a quick shot from Kynett and an even faster rebound from Blaser to provide the 1-0 lead in the 74th.

The Bronco defense held for the next 15 minutes, but was undone by an unlikely turn of events in the last four seconds of the game. Sarah Taylor was whistled for a yellow card just beyond midfield with 89:56 remaining, and the booking caused the clock to stop to give the Vandals time to set up for a free kick from 45 yards out.

UI sent the kick deep into the box where Kelly Dopke was able to control the ball and find the space to put home the point-blank shot with one second remaining on the clock at 89:59, making it a 1-1 game.

Both sides had a few chances in the overtime periods - most notably in the 110th minute when Sherle had a breakaway with just one defender to beat, but was unable to convert. The opportunity still produced a corner kick in the waning seconds, but the Broncos were unable to get a shot off.

Freshman Aubree Chatterton, Sarah Taylor and Blaser led the way with three shots a piece, while Janelle Flores talled three saves. Now with 13 career goals, Blaser moves into a tie for 10th place in the school record book. Her six points also currently leads the way for Boise State on the season.

Boise State will now travel to Pocatello and take on Idaho State on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 1 p.m. at Davis Field.
