BRONCOS TAKE ON UNDEFEATED ZIPS
Boise State's women's tennis team is gearing up for a tough matchup against the undefeated Akron Zips when they travel to Logan, Utah, on Saturday.Â

WHAT'S THE SCOOP
The Broncos went 1-1 last weekend as they wrapped up a season-opening homestand. The Broncos moved to 2-1 on the year and now take their talents on the road for three straight matches away from Boise.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Boise State women's tennis team dismantled Lewis-Clark State 7-0 at Boas Indoor Tennis Center in Boise. A day after dropping a tight 4-3 match to Weber State, the Broncos rallied back by not dropping a single set en route to the convincing victory over the Warriors. Freshman Sydnie Binder shutout her opponent for her first collegiate singles victory of her career.ÂÂ
PLAYER TO WATCH
Lilian Poling has been on a tear to start the season for the Broncos, starting a perfect 3-0 including two tough three-set victories. Poling has been a catalyst for the team at the No. 2 singles spot, while also performing well with her doubles partner Wilhelmina Palmer as the Broncos' No. 1 team.Â
HEAD COACH BECK ROGHAAR
With a career record of 101-81 and six winning seasons, Roghaar has made his mark on Boise State in his ninth season with the program. He became the second coach in program history to reach 100 wins on January 19, 2019 after a 6-1 win against Idaho State. Last season he coached the team to a 14-8 record and the Mountain West Mountain Division regular season title after going 5-0 against divisional opponents. The 2011 WAC Coach of the Year continues to build a rising Boise State program that has been built on the values of toughness and passion.Â
BOISE TIES
Three freshmen on the team have ties to Boise. Sydnie Binder attended Borah High School in Boise before moving to Oregon. Camryn Moortgat was born and lived in Boise before moving to Dallas, Texas, before high school. Corey Patton Lossner is the niece of former Boise State head men's tennis coach Greg Patton.Â
YOUTH BE SERVED
Boise State's roster consists of five freshmen this season, four of which have seen action so far this spring. Emily Strande, Frankie Trella, and Binder all have earned their first singles victories of their careers, while Patton Lossner has earned a victory in doubles play. Camryn Moortgat will be redshirting for the Broncos this season.Â
