FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Host Colorado State had heated up, and erased a 14-point, third-quarter Boise State advantage to take a 68-66 lead with under two minutes remaining Sunday at Moby Arena.

Enter Braydey Hodgins.

The 2019-20 Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year scored the game's next six points, finishing with 11 for the game, and Boise State (6-4, 2-0 MW) held on for the 72-69 win over the Rams (5-5, 0-2 MW). The win is Boise State's seventh-straight over Colorado State, and fourth in a row at Moby Arena.

The Rams took the two-point lead on a Ram bucket with just over a minute to play, but it was short-lived as Mallory McGwire, with her back to the basket, bounced a perfect pass to her right, hitting a streaking Hodgins in stride. Hodgins did the rest, finishing with her off hand, off glass, and drawing a foul. One bonus free throw later, the Broncos led, 69-68, and never trailed again.

Hodgins followed Annie Brady's miss on the other end with a drive and a floater with 25.6 seconds to go, putting the Broncos up three, and, after a Ram turnover, hit 1-of-2 from the line to make it 72-68 with 6.7 seconds left.

Colorado State still made it interesting. Brady drew a foul on A'Shanti Coleman to get to the line with two seconds left. After hitting the first, she intentionally missed the second, and Coleman couldn't corral the rebound, which went out of bounds with nine-tenths of a second left. Colorado State's desperation 3-pointer off the inbounds was well short, and the Broncos captured the win.

Point guard Jayde Christopher scored a career-high 16 points in the contest, with Coleman leading the Broncos with 17.

Boise State will resume non-conference play Wednesday, Dec. 11, hosting BYU for a 7 p.m. tip at ExtraMile Arena.
