SERIES HISTORY
BYU leads the all-time series against the Broncos 30-36, but Boise State has won the last two meetings. The Cougars and Broncos last faced each other at the MRGC Championships, where the Blue and Orange placed first, and the Cougars placed second.
IN THE RANKINGS
For week six of the gymnastics season, the Broncos and Cougars sit in the top 20, according to the Road to Nationals Rankings. Boise State has remained in the top 10 all season, averaging a team score of 196.205 and BYU jumped a spot and sits at No. 20 this week with an average score of 195.780.
CONFERENCE HONORS
A Bronco gymnast has received an MRGC honor in each of the last five weeks this season. For week five, Remme brought home three MRGC accolades. She was named Gymnast of the Week for the third time in five weeks and also garnered co-Vault Specialist of the Week and co-Beam Specialist of the Week.
BYU has also had success on this front, having at least one gymnast in the honors each week this season.
WHO TO WATCH
Remme will be looking for her 21st All-Around victory to continue padding her program record. She is also climbing the ranks of program-record bars wins with nine, the ninth-best in program history. Finally, she currently has 13 floor wins, good enough to be tied for third-most in program history.
Means needs one more vault win to enter the record book to be tied for tenth-most career vault wins at eight. Furthermore, she's only two victories away from having the tenth-most vault wins in a season, which would tie Amanda Otuafi's five.
Finally, with one more bars win, McGregor would be set to enter the record book with the tenth-most career bars wins,
WINNER'S MENTALITY
A Bronco gymnast has taken home an event title in 20 out of 22 events so far this season.
REMME'S RECORDS
On Feb. 1, Shani Remme became the winningest all-arounder in Boise State gymnastics history. She now has 20 career all-around victories, topping the record set by Julie Wagner in 1995. She is also the most victorious beam worker in program history with 22 career wins.
