Shani Remme took her 20th all-around victory and the No. 9 Boise State gymnastics team (7-0, 3-0 MRGC) rolled past the Utah State Aggies (1-6, 0-4 MRGC) 196.075-194.825 for their seventh-straight win to remain undefeated on the season.
The Broncos started off the meet on bars, their strongest rotation of the night. Remme led the Broncos with a 9.925, matching her career high. Courtney McGregor followed with a 9.825, while Alexis Stokes and Gabby Bouza notched a pair of 9.800s, another strong bars performance from freshman Stokes. The Blue and Orange finished the first rotation with the lead, 49.150-48.650.
Boise State continued its upward momentum in the second rotation on vault. Isabella Amado led off with a 9.750, and Tatum Bruden followed with a 9.775. Remme also took home the vault title with a 9.850, matching her career-best. Sarah Means rounded out the vault rotation with a 9.825, tying for second place with Utah State's Madison Ward-Sessions.
The Blue and Orange came up with a team score of 98.100, leading Utah State's 97.225 at the halfway point. Boise state headed floor for the third rotation, where McGregor and Remme shared 9.850s, tying for third place, while Amado and Bruden were close behind with scores of 9.800. Maddi Nilson also had a career-high score of 9.750.
The final event for the Broncos was balance beam. Remme sealed the all-around victory with a 9.900 on beam, totaling 39.525 and sharing the event title with the Aggies' Autumn DeHarde. McGregor rounded out her all-around score with a solid 9.850, totaling 39.300, and Means scored a 9.800.
Boise State travels to Provo, Utah next weekend for another MRGC showdown, vs. BYU at 7 p.m.
