Boise State Takes Third Match From Cornhuskers

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Boise State beach volleyball closed its trip to the Islands at .500 following its third victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers by a 3-2 score on Monday. The Broncos collected wins on courts one, three and four to secure the victory as they improved to 3-3 on the weekend and 7-5 overall.Â
Kendra Bodine and Janell Walley led the way with a straight-set victory at No. 1 pair defeating Lauren Stirvins and Nicklin Hames for the third time 23-21, 21-17. The Boise State tandem improved to a team-best 8-4 on the year.
Jensen Allen and Ellie McDonald brought home a win on court three where they beat  Madi Kubik and Mari Kurkova in two sets 21-17, 21-17. Allen and McDonald improved to 4-1 on the season with the victory.Â
The third victory for Boise State was from the No. 4 pair of Kylee Johnson and Kiley Lewis where the duo put away the Cornhuskers' Anezka Szabo and Hayley Densberger in three sets 21-10, 16-21, 15-6. The Bronco tandem moved to 4-1 on the year following the win on Monday.
