BRONCOS HOST WHITMAN IN WOMEN'S TENNIS ACTION
The Boise State women's tennis team is back home in Boise where they will play host to Whitman College on Saturday at the Appleton Tennis Center.Â
The Broncos are coming off of two tough road matches against some of the best programs in the region in Air Force and Washington State. With only two nonconference matches remaining, Boise State will look to use its match against Whitman as an opportunity to gain some momentum before they enter a four-match conference stretch to round out the regular season.

WHAT'S THE SCOOP
This will be the first outdoor home match of the season for the Broncos. After playing their all of their home matches indoors at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center, the team is ready to get outside and play under the sun. Saturday's forecast shows mostly sunny skies and a high of 59 degrees, so it should be a wonderful spring tennis atmosphere.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos fell 4-0 to the 33rd ranked Cougars in Pullman, Wash., on Saturday. The loss put the Broncos back at .500 on the year, so the team will look to earn a check in the win column against Whitman and reclaim a winning record.Â
PLAYER TO WATCH
Sophomore Vanessa Timm has been a strong performer for the Broncos this season. Somewhat of a utility player, Timm has seen action at the two, three, four, and five singles spots for the Blue and Orange while also being a solid performer in the doubles competitions this season. Wherever head coach Beck Roghaar decides to play her on Saturday, Timm's contributions will be needed in order for the Broncos to take down the BluesÂ
HEAD COACH BECK ROGHAAR
With a career record of 105-86 and six winning seasons, Roghaar has made his mark on Boise State in his ninth season with the program. He became the second coach in program history to reach 100 wins on January 19, 2019 after a 6-1 win against Idaho State. Last season he coached the team to a 14-8 record and the Mountain West Mountain Division regular-season title after going 5-0 against divisional opponents. The 2011 WAC Coach of the Year continues to build a rising Boise State program that has been built on the values of toughness and passion.Â
