BRONCOS WRAP UP REGULAR SEASON IN LOGAN

The Boise State women's tennis team heads to Logan, Utah, on Saturday to take on the Utah State Aggies in the final regular-season match of the year.

Both teams head into the matchup with sub-.500 records in conference play and are seeking one final win to boost them heading into next week's Mountain West Championship in San Diego, Calif.

WHAT'S THE SCOOP

The Broncos are looking to earn their first conference win of the year when they face the Aggies on Saturday. The Broncos hold a slight 3-2 advantage in all-time MW matchups against the Aggies, and the most recent matchup saw the Broncos win 4-3 last season on April 21, 2018, in Boise.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos hosted their final homestand last weekend versus Colorado State and Wyoming at the Boas Indoor Tennis Center. The Broncos battled hard in both contests, but ultimately fell to the Rams 5-2 and the Cowgirls 4-2 despite junior Wiktoria Nosek having an impressive 2-0 weekend.

PLAYER TO WATCH

The player to watch for this matchup is the junior Nosek after an impressive weekend against Colorado State and Wyoming. She was the team leader last weekend as she earned a 6-1, 6-3 win over the Rams' Alyssa Grijalva and a 6-2, 6-4 win over the Cowgirls' Ana Fernandez, both at the No. 5 position. Nosek continues to be the team's emotional leader as well, bringing a wealth of intensity and excitement every time she hits the court.

LEADING THE BRONCOS

Wilhelmina Palmer and Lilian Poling have been phenomenal for the Blue and Orange this season. With a 23-10 overall singles record on the year, junior Poling leads the team in singles victories and has been especially dangerous in spring duals, where she is a team-best 12-4. Sophomore Palmer is not too far behind either with a 22-9 overall record, including a 9-5 spring campaign as she has taken her game to another level in her second year with the Broncos. The two have also combined to lead the way in doubles play where they are 20-8 on the year and 12-4 in spring duals.

HEAD COACH BECK ROGHAAR

With a career record of 106-90 and six winning seasons, Roghaar has made his mark on Boise State in his ninth season with the program. He became the second coach in program history to reach 100 wins on January 19, 2019 after a 6-1 win against Idaho State. Last season he coached the team to a 14-8 record and the Mountain West Mountain Division regular-season title after going 5-0 against divisional opponents. The 2011 WAC Coach of the Year continues to build a rising Boise State program that has been built on the values of toughness and passion.
