Timm Leads Broncos at ISU Fall Invitational

POCATELLO, Idaho – Vanessa Timm led the Boise State women's tennis team on Friday by collecting a singles and doubles win on day one of the Idaho State Fall Invitational in Pocatello, Idaho.
In a day where singles victories were hard to come by for Boise State, the junior stood tall against Megan Poe from Idaho State as she claimed a 7-6 (3-0), 4-6, 6-4 win to advance to the quarterfinal round tomorrow.
The Broncos went 2-1 in doubles play, something the Blue and Orange wanted to improve upon from last weekend. Timm and Camryn Moortgat defeated Lucy Octave and Carolina Millan of Utah State handily, 6-3, while the freshmen duo of Ana Conde Vendrell and Mae McCutcheon took a tightly contested 7-5 win in a matchup against Cali Fuller and Megan Lombardi from Weber State.
Action will resume with day two tomorrow from Pocatello as the Broncos will look to bounce back and put up a strong team performance.
