BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State football team, ranked Nos. 15 and 16 this week in the Coaches and Associated Press Polls, respectively, returns to the road for the first time since the season opener, squaring off against UNLV, Saturday (Oct. 5).

The Broncos (4-0) and Rebels (1-3) are slated to kick at 8:30 p.m. (MT) at Sam Boyd Stadium, and the game will be nationally televised by CBS Sports Network.

SAM BOYD STADIUM
Since making its first Las Vegas Bowl appearance in 2010, Boise State has played six games at Sam Boyd Stadium, and the Broncos are a perfect 6-0. Boise State is 2-0 against UNLV, and has also defeated Utah (2010), Arizona State (2011), Washington (2012) and Oregon (2017) in the Las Vegas Bowl.

THE SERIES
Boise State leads the all-time series 7-3 and has won each of the last five meetings. Boise State and UNLV split a six-game series from 1972-77, with each team defending home field on each occasion. Since joining the Mountain West, the Broncos are 4-0 with an average margin of victory of 24.3. The Broncos' last road loss to UNLV came Nov. 6, 1976 (31-26).

ROAD WIN STREAK
Following the longest homestand in more than a decade, the Broncos return to the road, where – surprise! – they've also been good. Boise State has won each of its last five road games, tied for the third-longest streak in the country with Alabama, Florida and Wake Forest. Only Oklahoma (21-sraight) and Clemson (nine-straight) have longer road winning streaks.

Speaking of winning streaks, the Broncos' four-consecutive victories to start the 2019 season is tied for the 14th-longest win streak in the country. The mark is tied with Oklahoma, Georgia, Penn State, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech and Memphis. Clemson has won 20-straight, the longest winning streak in the country.

BALANCED OFFENSIVE, DEFENSIVE EFFORTS
Boise State ranks 24th in total offense (476.0) and 25th in total defense (299.3), one of only seven schools in the country to rank in the top 25 in each statistical category. The other six are Baylor, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Penn State and TCU.

MONEY DOWN
Boise State ranks in the top-10 nationally in third-down conversions both offensively and defensively. The Broncos are converting 53.2 percent of third-down chances, the seventh-best clip in the country, and allowing conversions at a rate of just 25.0 percent, the nation's sixth-best mark. Boise State joins Ohio State, Oklahoma and Wake Forest as the only schools in the country to rank in the top 10 in each statistical category.

Individually, freshman quarterback Hank Bachmeier is 26-for-37 for 454 yards, 21 first downs and four touchdowns on third down this season.
