Falcons Shoot Way to Victory

USAFA, Colo. - Boise State men's basketball dropped a road game at Air Force Wednesday, 85-78. Abu Kigab led the Broncos with 20 points, including four of the team's 10 three-pointers. Kigab was one of four Broncos to score in double figures.

Boise State (11-8, 3-4 MW) head coach Leon Rice was assessed two technical fouls with 19.2 seconds left in the first half. The Falcons (9-9, 3-3 MW) made the ensuing four free throws and took a 42-34 lead into the locker room.

The Broncos cut the deficit to two twice in the second half, and were within five as late as the 3:45 mark, but could not overcome Air Force's hot shooting.

The Falcons shot 50 percent from the floor and 26-for-30 (86.7 percent) from the free throw line.

Derrick Alston Jr. scored 16 points, while seniors Alex Hobbs and Justinian Jessup added 13 and 11, respectively.

Boise State returns home to face Utah State, Saturday at ExtraMile Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. MT. Fans are encouraged to wear blue to the game.
