BOISE, Idaho - Boise State heads to Logan to face Utah State this Saturday in its final game before its first bye of the Mountain West campaign.

LAST TIME OUT
Boise State made it two in a row with Wednesday's 70-61 victory over Air Force.

The win was both Boise State's 13th in a row over the Falcons, and extended the Broncos' conference home winning streak to 18.

Riley Lupfer scored a teah-high 14 points and matched her career high with seven rebounds while hitting four 3-pointers. Mallory McGwire posted her fifth double-double of the season, going for 13 points and 11 rebounds, and point guard Jayde Christopher solidified her national lead in assists, passing out 13.

WHO'S NEXT
Utah State (5-12, 0-6 MW) is the only winless team in the Mountain West, and is coming off of a bye Wednesday.

The Aggies, led by the play of Hailey Bassett (14.5 ppg, 29 blocks) and Lindsey Jensen-Baker (13.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg), were one of just two teams to beat Boise State in Mountain West play last season, capturing an 81-68 victory last Feb. 23 in Logan.

SERIES HISTORY
Boise State is 25-10 all-time against Utah State.

The Broncos have won nine of the past 11 meetings against the Aggies, although both losses in that span have come in Logan.

IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
Boise State has found itself, as well as a handful of players, ranked fairly high in early national stat rankings through Jan. 16.

As a team, the Broncos rank sixth in assists (330). The Broncos' 45.4 field-goal percentage ranks 27th, and the team's 142 3-pointers are 20th in the country.

Individually, redshirt senior point guard Jayde Christopher leads the nation with 152 assists, and is second with 8.00 assists per game. Senior guard Riley Lupfer is sixth in the country with 58 3-pointers made, and 18th with 3.05 triples made per game.

PROTECT THE HOME COURT
Jan. 15's 70-61 win over Air Force marked Boise State's 18th-straight home victory over Mountain West competition.

The Broncos' last home conference loss was a 72-68 defeat to Nevada on Jan. 20, 2018.

The current 18-game conference home winning streak is the longest in the Mountain West.

GET LUPFER GOING
Senior Riley Lupfer appears to have gotten it going again from deep, hitting nine 3-pointers over her last three games after a five-game cold spell (Dec. 15-Jan. 4) in which she went just 6-for-28.

Lupfer hit four triples in Wednesday's win over Air Force, the second time in three games in which she hit four (Jan. 8 at UNLV was the other). Over the last three games, she is 9-for-23 (39.1 percent) from deep.

RACKING UP ASSISTS
Jayde Christopher handed out 13 assists Wednesday against Air Force, posting her sixth performance of the season with double-digit helpers.

Her 13 assists came up just one short of Boise State's single-game record of 4, shared by Christopher and Marta Hermida.

The performance also kept Christopher comfortably in the national lead in assists, boosting her total to 152, 16 ahead of second-place Sabrina Ionescu of Oregon.

HODGINS APPROACHING 1,000
Senior guard Braydey Hodgins is just seven points away from becoming the 22nd member of Boise State's 1,000-Point Club, and has a very good chance of reaching the milestone Saturday at Utah State.

Hodgins broke out with 436 points (13.2 ppg) last season, as she was named to the All-Mountain West Team.

Reaching 1,000 points would make Hodgins the fourth member of her immediate family to hit that mark. Her mother, Karen (Murray) Hodgins, scored 1,745 points at Washington (1981-84), and her older sisters, Delaney (2015-18) and Hayley (2013-16), are 1-2 on Eastern Washington's career scoring list with 2,120 and 1,865 points, respectively.

McGWIRE DOUBLES UP AGAIN
Center Mallory McGwire posted her fifth double-double of the season, and third in Mountain West play Wednesday, going for 13 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Air Force.

The performance continued McGwire's impactful debut in the Mountain West this season, as, over the first seven games of conference play, she is averaging 13.7 points and 9.1 rebounds while shooting 47.1 percent with 11 blocks.

BRINGING THE ENERGY
Boise State's second unit had another solid performance Wednesday against Air Force, as the quartet of guards Jade Loville, Ellie Woerner, and Maggie Freeman, and center Rachel Bowers combined for 20 points on 10-for-16 shooting.

The effort followed one against San Diego State Saturday in which the group combined for 40 points, matching the Bronco bench's season-best output (40 against Portland State on Nov. 8).

Over seven Mountain West games, the group has combined to score 20.0 points while shooting 52.4 percent (55-for-105).

LOCK IT DOWN EARLY
Boise State's defense has done a solid job locking opponents down early, enabling the Broncos to get off to early leads.

Over the last five games, all against Mountain West opponents, Bronco foes have combined to shoot just 31.5 percent (23-for-73) in the first quarter.

No team over that span has made more than six field goals in the opening frame, with Nevada (Jan. 4) the only opponent to reach that number.
