BOISE, Idaho - Boise State men's basketball picked up its first Mountain West road win of the season in emphatic fashion, beating Fresno State 87-53 Saturday, at Save Mart Center. It is Boise State's largest margin of victory in a road conference game since 2004. The Broncos shot 54.2 percent from the floor and recorded assists on 19 of their 32 field goals.

Boise State (13-8, 5-4 MW) led by as many as 13 in the first half before taking a nine-point lead into the locker room, 35-26. The Broncos pushed the advantage to 15 early in the second half before Fresno State (6-14, 2-7 MW) scored five straight points, cutting the deficit to 10 and leading the Broncos to take a timeout.

Boise State responded by holding the Bulldogs without a field goal for the next eight minutes and outscoring Fresno State 26-7 over the same span, leaving the Broncos with a 29-point lead as the clock ticked under six minutes to play.

The Broncos outscored the Bulldogs 52-27 in the second half, shooting 61.3 percent from the field and holding Fresno State to 35 percent in the period.

Abu Kigab led the way with 23 points, including 14 in the second half and 10 during the Broncos' game-defining run. Kigab was one of four Broncos to score in double figures.

Justinian Jessup finished with 19 points and a season-high eight rebounds. Jessup connected on 5-of-10 three-pointers and now ranks No. 10 on Boise State's all-time scoring list and No. 2 in Mountain West three-point history. He scored 16 in the first half, including four triples, to keep the Broncos on top.

Derrick Alston Jr. and RJ Williams each finished with 14 points. The duo combined for 20 points in the second half. Alston dished out five assists, matching RayJ Dennis for the team lead, while Williams tallied a career-high four assists.

Noah Blackwell led Fresno State with 14 points, all in the first half. The Broncos held the Bulldogs' two leading scorers, Orlando Robinson and New Williams, to a combined 1-of-11 shooting from the floor.

Boise State returns home for a two-game home stand, starting Wednesday (Jan. 29) against San José State. The Broncos will then host Nevada Saturday (Feb. 1).
