BOISE, Idaho - Derrick Alston, Jr. and Justinian Jessup combined for 48 points to guide Boise State men's basketball to a 99-71 win Wednesday, against San José State at ExtraMile Arena. The Broncos have won consecutive conference games by at least 25 points for the first time since 1988, after winning 87-53 Saturday, at Fresno State.
Boise State (14-8, 6-4 Mountain West) shot 58.6 percent from the floor, including a 57.7 percent from three-point range on 15-of-26 shooting. Alston and Jessup combined to make 11 of the Broncos' 15 from three-pointers. The Broncos have tallied 19 assists in each of the last two games.
"We've had back-to-back games with great ball movement and good patience with our offense," said head coach Leon Rice. "If you move it, you're going to score more points and they're all buying into that and that's why the ball is moving so much better."
RayJ Dennis racked up a career-high seven assists, while RJ Williams tied his career best with four helpers for the second straight game.
Alston scored 27 points on 9-of-12 shooting and tied his career high with six triples. Jessup finished with 21 points, including 5-of-9 from three-point range for his seventh game this year with at least five triples - five of which have come in Mountain West play. Jessup now has 294 career three-pointers, two shy of tying Jimmer Fredette's all-time Mountain West record.
Alex Hobbs came off the bench to score 12 points, his seventh double-figure scoring night of the year. Williams added 15 points and 13 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season.

The Broncos went on a 13-0 run late in the first half to break the game open. They led 42-27 at the break and stretched the lead throughout the second period.Â
