ABOUT THE SPARTANS: San José State is 7-14, with a 3-6 record in Mountain West play. The Spartans have knocked off Nevada, New Mexico and Air Force, but are still in search of their first road win in conference play since 2017. Seneca Knight leads San José State at 14.7 points per game and ranks second on the team in rebounds and assists. In the Spartans' seven wins this year, they are shooting 46.1 percent from the floor, while that number dips to 36 percent in their 14 losses.

SERIES HISTORY: Boise State leads the all-time series 32-3. The Broncos have won the last five meetings and own an 18-0 mark all-time against the Spartans in Boise. Derrick Alston Jr. set his career high with 33 points the last time San José State visited Boise, Feb. 9, 2019.

BIG ROAD WIN: Boise State got the monkey off its back in a big way Saturday, at Fresno State. The Broncos picked up their first road conference win of the year with an 87-53 thrashing of the Bulldogs. It is Boise State's largest margin of victory in a road conference game since 2004.

TOP-10 SCORER: Justinian Jessup broke into the top 10 of Boise State's all-time scoring list Jan. 25, at Fresno State. Jessup now has 1,386 points in a Bronco uniform. Next up on the list is Chandler Hutchison, in ninth place with 1,478 points. Jessup made Bronco history on March 2, 2019 at UNLV in scoring 18 points to reach 1,013 career points, making him the 29th 1,000-point scorer in program history. The game was the 93rd of his Bronco career, making him the 15th-fastest Bronco to 1,000 career points.

CHASING JIMMER: Justinian Jessup is Boise State's all-time three-point leader, entering the game with 289 career triples. Jessup trails the conference's current record holder, BYU's Jimmer Fredette (2007-11), by just seven triples. With 16 more, Jessup will become the first player in Mountain West history to reach 300.

MAGIC AT EXTRAMILE: Boise State rallied for a thrilling overtime victory against Utah State last time out. The Aggies took an 18-point lead (66-48) with 4:10 remaining in regulation and had possession. The Broncos got a stop and RJ Williams sank a pair of free throws with 3:37 to play. Those free throws started a 27-9 run, including 19 points from freshman RayJ Dennis to close the period and tie the game. Utah State led 75-70 with 8.9 seconds left before Dennis stormed up the floor and made his fourth three-pointer of the spurt. Justinian Jessup stole the ensuing inbound pass and made a layup to tie the game with 1.9 seconds left and force overtime. The Broncos never led in regulation, but never trailed in the extra period, winning 88-83.
