EAGLE, Idaho - Boise State women's tennis rolled to a win over rival Idaho State Sunday morning defeating the Bengals 7-0 to sweep this weekend's home matches. After claiming the doubles point 2-1, Vanessa Timm and Holly Stewart led the Bronco charge in singles claiming two quick wins to pace the Blue and Orange. The win over ISU improved Boise State to 2-0 on the first weekend of the season.

Doubles was relatively tight with two of the matches going to the end before the Broncos won the team point 2-1. Court three was the first off with Boise State's tandem of Joana Baptista and Camryn Moortgat claiming a easy 6-1 victory.

Lilian Poling and Stewart clinched the team point when they held off a pesky Bengal duo of Hristina Cvetkovic and Megan Poe by a 7-5 score. The Boise State tandem is now 2-0 on the year.

The third doubles team was a battle and went to a tiebreaker before the Broncos' Mae McCutcheon and Timm came up short to Alexandra Arkhipova and Angela Walker 7-6 (3).

Timm was the first off the court in singles claiming a dominating two-set win 6-1, 6-0 over Poe at the No. 4 position. The Bronco junior moved to 9-5 in singles on the year.

Stewart was not on her court much longer than Timm as she claimed a straight-set victory 6-3, 6-0 over ISU's Melissa Coburn at No. 3 singles. The true freshman from New Zealand is now 2-0 on the year since joining the Broncos during winter break.

Poling was next to collect a win, clinching the team victory with a 6-1, 6-4 win on court one over Cvetkovic. The Boise State senior improved to 4-2 on the year with the win.

The remaining three singles matches were played out after clinch with Baptista being the fourth Bronco off court with a 6-3, 6-1 victory, followed by Ana Conde Vendrell (6-4, 6-1) on court five and Moortgat (6-1, 6-4) at the No. 6 position.

Boise State will now hit the road for two weeks as the Broncos head to the other side of the continental divide next week to face Colorado and Northern Colorado, respectively.
