Lyle's 4.5 assists per game rank third in the conference. He scored 31 points and dished out six assists in the first meeting between the Broncos and Lobos. New Mexico leads the league in scoring (78.5 points per game) and ranks second in field goal percentage (.475). The Lobos have lost six of their last seven and are assured to be playing in the opening round of the MW Championship.

I HARDLY RECOGNIZED YOU: Boise State and New Mexico opened Mountain West play against one another in Albuquerque, on Dec. 4. At the time, Abu Kigab was still sitting out for Boise State due to transfer rules, just as Vante Hendrix was for New Mexico. In addition to adding Hendrix to the rotation, three Lobos who came off the bench in the Dec. 4 meeting started last week against Nevada.

IN POSITION: Boise State enters the game with a 10-6 record in conference play. and part of a five-team logjam jockeying for second through sixth place. The top five seeds in the Mountain West Championship earn a spot in the quarterfinals, while the bottom six must play in the opening round. In addition to looking to clinch a spot in the quarterfinals, the Broncos are also seeking a fifth top-three finish in the last six seasons.
