COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference announced the 2020 list of all-conference honorees which includes seven Broncos who combined for 12 accolades. Five Broncos earned two All-Mountain West honors apiece in Lucia Davis, Hayley Hill, Molly Hogg, Katie McCoy and Madesyn Ronquillio. In addition, two others Emmie Jennings and Lauren Vitort received all-conference accolades in one event each.
The honors are based on where individuals placed at last week's swimming and diving championships in Minneapolis, Minn. Swimmers and divers earned individual all-conference honors for placing in the top-eight of their respective events, while relay teams who placed in the top-three were recognized.Â
Davis earned her recognition in the 500-yard freestyle for placing third and in the 1,650 freestyle where she took fourth. Meanwhile, Hill also swam in both the 500 and 1,650 freestyle races placing seventh and fifth.
Two more Broncos earned All-MW honors in the freestyle races as well with Jennings, a senior, closing out her career with a sixth-place result in the 100 free on Saturday. Vitort placed eighth overall in Friday's 200 free to earn her recognition.Â
Boise State's strongest events this year at the championships were the backstrokes where they combined for five honors. Hogg claimed her accolades in the 100-yard back and 200 back where she placed sixth and fourth, respectively. Also claiming two all-conference awards in the backstroke was Ronquillio who took eighth and fifth, respectively.
In addition, McCoy also received two All-MW honors at the championships last week where she placed fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a career-best time of 1:59.96, then finished eighth in the 200 back.Â
Boise State will return six of the seven honorees next season with Jennings being the lone senior of the group.Â
