LOOKING BACK AT THE FALLÂ
The 2019-20 campaign marked the 14th year of the program featuring 11 competitions overall with five coming during the fall portion of the schedule.ÂLast fall the Broncos set 61 individual career-best times/scores with 19 of the 26 student-athletes recording at least one, 47 of those times/scores were personal-best times. The composition of the 60 career-best times/scores included 26 that were set by 13 veterans and 35 by six freshmen. The 47 personal-best times/scores came from seven veterans who combined for 16, while the six freshmen combined for 31 during the fall semester.
Boise State opened the season with a rare two-meet homestand as the Broncos hosted two of their three home contests of the year in the first week of the season. The Broncos would go to sweep the two home meets over Wyoming and Idaho before going on to finish the fall with a 3-2 record in duals.Â

MEET 1: Broncos Roll Past Wyoming in Season Opener
BOISE, Idaho - The Broncos opened the season versus Mountain West Conference foe Wyoming at the West Boise YMCA and Boise City Aquatics Center defeating the Cowgirls easily by a 186-108 score. The win extended the Broncos' home win streak in duals to 25 straight, dating back to Oct. 17, 2009.ÂBroncos roll past Wyoming in season opener! Boise State was lead by Marti Erlam, Lauren Vitort, Molly Hogg and Robin Pinger who won two individual events each to lead the Broncos to victory.
Erlam won both springboard diving events taking the 3-meter with a 316.80 and the 1-meter with a personal-best 307.20. Vitort collected victories in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:51.81, then followed with a win in the 500 free with a 5:03.03. Hogg brought home wins in both backstroke races clocking a 56.24 in the 100 back, then a 2:01.45 in the 200 back. Robin Pinger swam to a pair of victories in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:05.04, then clocked a 2:06.93 to win the 200-yard individual medley.Â
Even though no other Broncos won a individual race they did combine for nine second-place finishes, the Broncos also swept both the 400-yard medley and 200-yard freestyle relays.Â
Those recording career-best times/scores included: Erlam (1-meter springboard, 307.20), Tatum Thompkins (both springboards, 1M 267.15 and 3M 306.08), Emma Brady (100-yard butterfly, 1:01.92), Lucia Davis (100-yard freestyle, 53.96) and Madesyn Ronquillio (50 free, 25.11).

MEET 2: Boise State Cruised by Idaho for Homecoming
BOISE, Idaho - On homecoming day in Boise, the Blue and Orange completed the opening weekend sweep when Boise State won 15 of 16 events against Idaho as the Broncos cruised past their instate-rival 221-78. Eleven different Broncos won event titles led by senior Robin Pinger and sophomore Marti Erlam who won two apiece. The victory over the Vandals extended Boise State's home win streak in dual meets to 26 straight.Boise State cruises past Idaho 221-78 on homecoming day! Pinger won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.87, then swam a 2:21.21 to win the 200-yard breaststroke. On the weekend, she won four races. Erlam swept both diving events taking the 3-meter springboard with a score of 316.35, then claimed the 1-meter by 52 points tallying 302.63. She scored 300 or better in all four of her diving events over the weekend.Â
Boise State also dominated both relay races, 200-yard medley and 200 freestyle, against th Vandals sweeping the top-three places in both events.Â
Boise State won all five freestyle races with Hayley Hill taking the 1,000 free with a 10:30.28, Lucia Davis (1:54.64) won the 200 free, Pinger (23.87) the 50 free, Jennings (53.10) claimed the 100 free, while Brady (5:07.77) won the 500 free. Â
The Broncos also claimed both backstroke races led by Hogg's win in the 100 back on a 56.60, while Ronquillio swam a 2:01.74 for victory in the 200 back. Both butterfly events went to the Blue and Orange as well with Beatriz Zoppei clocking a 2:07.51 to place first in the 200 fly, while Wen won the 100 fly with a 57.11.
Six swimmers recorded carer-best times: Martina Andrasek (50-yard back, 26.75) as part of 200 medley relay, Lucia Davis (50-yard freestyle, 25.98) as part of 200 free relay, Hayley Hill (100 free, 56.53), Carly Palmer (100-yard butterfly, 1:00.69), Lauren Vitort (400-yard IM, 4:35.49) and Beatriz Zoppei (50 free, 24.69) as part of 200 free relay.

MEET 3: Boise State Splits at San Diego State Tri-Meet
SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Boise State split a pair on the road at the San Diego State tri-meet where the Broncos defeated the Pepperdine Waves 252-43, but were edged by Mountain West-rival SDSU 158-134. Boise State won seven of 16 events at the tri-meet (scored as duals) including six individual races and one relay. Leading Boise State into the win column for individuals started with Hayley Hill who won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a 10:17.08. Brittany Wen followed by winning the 200-yard butterfly by clocking a 2:04.64 and Robin Pinger who won the 50 freestyle with a 24.13.
Boise State's final three individual titles were won by Madesyn Ronquillio on a 2:01.61 in the 200-yard backstroke, Beatriz Zoppei then swam a 56.08 in the 100 butterfly, while Katie McCoy wrapped up the wins with a 2:03.58 in the 200-yard individual medley.Â
The seventh Bronco win came in the 200-yard freestyle relay where the Broncos' A team of Emmie Jennings, Madison Frederick, Wen and Pinger clocked a winning time of 1:37.10.Â
Four Broncos clocked career-best times in San Diego: Martina Andrasek (200-yard backstroke, 2:04.66), Jamie Nats (200-yard butterfly, 2:14.52), Anahi Schreuders (50-yard breaststroke, 31.56 / 100 breast, 1:06.85 / 200 breast, 2:29.71) and Zoppei (200 fly, 2:05.67).

MEET 4: Broncos Come Up Short in Reno
RENO, Nev. - Hayley Hill won the 500 and 1,000-yard freestyle races to lead Boise State against Mountain West rival Nevada, but in the end the Wolf Pack came away with a 187-113 victory. On the day, Boise State won four of the 16 events against Nevada as the Broncos moved to 3-2 in duals.Nevada gets past Broncos in Reno 187-113 ... Hill won both of her individual races clocking a 10:33.61 in the 1,000 free, then a 5:08.32 in the 500. Joining Hill on the victory stand were Molly Hogg who won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:03.39 and Katie McCoy with a win in the 400-yard individual medley turning in a 4:26.56.
The Broncos placed second in eight races led by Lauren Vitort's runner-up results in the 200 free (1:52.36) and the 100 free (52.87).Â

MEET 5: The Mizzou Invite
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Boise State concluded the fall season with a trip to the Mizzou Invite in Columbia, Mo., Nov. 20-22. The Broncos finished the meet with 301 points to place seventh out of 10 teams, while meet host and ninth-ranked Missouri won the meet with 942.5 points.ÂDAY ONE - Boise State had a solid opening day to the Mizzou Invite scoring 114 points, leading the way were Lucia Davis, Hayley Hill, Katie McCoy and Marti Erlam who all recorded individual top-10 results.  Meanwhile, one 200-yard freestyle relay team placed eighth, while two Bronco 400-yard medley relay teams placed ninth and 10th. In all, the Broncos had nine individuals score and four relays.Â
Three Broncos scored during the 500-yard freestyle led by Davis who placed eighth overall out of 58 participants with a time of 4:53.61, 11 points. Hill scored seven points with a 10th-place finish on a time of 4:52.95. Meanwhile, freshman Emma Brady placed 12th (5 points) on a 4:53.45.
Beatriz Zoppei led the Broncos in the 100-yard butterfly by taking 13th (4 points) overall out of 69 competitors with a 55.31. Jennings was not far behind placing 14th (3 points) with a time of 55.65.
McCoy placed ninth (9 points) out 47 swimmers in the 200-yard individual medley clocking a 2:00.43. On the 3-meter springboard Marti Erlam led the way with 301.95 points in the A Final to take fifth (14 points), while Tatum Thompkins placed 14th overall with a 243.55 in the B final (3 points).
Boise State career-bests included: Martina Andrasek (500-yard freestyle, 5:07.33), Brady (500 free, 4:53.45), McCoy (100-yard butterfly, 55.88 / 200-yard IM, 2:00.43), Lauren Sale (100 fly, 56.78) and Zoppei (100 fly, 55.31).Â
DAY TWO - Boise State sophomore Marti Erlam took third on the 1-meter springboard and the 800-yard freestyle relay A team finished fourth to lead the Broncos on the second day of the Mizzou Invite. Overall, eight individuals and four relay teams scored for the Blue and Orange giving the team 245 points through two days.Â
Erlam led Boise State on the 1-meter taking third-place with 282.80 points in the final round, good for 16 team points. Both Tatum Thompkins and Taylor Clark scored as well placing in the B final, Thompkins (238.40) took 13th for four points while Clark (219.75) placed 16th for one point.Â
McCoy placed seventh in the 400-yard individual medley with a 4:20.39, Lauren Yon scored one point placing 16th overall by clocking a 4:36.15. Lauren Vitort was the lone Boise State swimmer to score in the 200-yard freestyle placing 11th overall to earn six team points with a time of 1:49.79, 6 points.Â
Meanwhile, Carly Palmer represented the Broncos in the 100-yard breaststroke finals turning in a time of 1:02.90 to take 11th and earn six points. Hogg clocked a 55.47 in the 100-yard backstroke to lead Boise State by placing eighth overall and collecting 11 team points.Â
Career-best times for day two included: Martina Andrasek (100-yard backstroke, 56.65 / 400-yard IM, 4:28.47), Emma Brady (200-yard freestyle, 1:50.28), McCoy (400 IM, 4:20.39), Carly Palmer (100-yard breaststroke, 1:02.90), Delaney Phillips (400 IM, 4:34.15), Anahi Schreuders (100 breast, 1:04.08), Emma Segneri (100 breast, 1:09.14), Georgia Zacest (100 breast, 2:24-71) and Zoppei (100 breast, 1:07.84).
DAY THREE - Â Boise State wrapped up the Mizzou Invite and fall season with Hayley Hill, Madesyn Ronquillio and Molly Hogg all recording top-10 finishes to lead the Broncos on the final day of the meet. Boise State completed the meet with 301 points to place seventh, ninth-ranked Missouri won the invite with 942.5 points.Â
Hill earned the top finish of the day for Boise State placing seventh out of 27 swimmers in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:42.91). Â Four Broncos placed in the 200-yard backstroke led by Ronquillo in eighth-place with a 2:01.83 in the final. Hogg won the B final to place ninth overall with a 1:57.56 for nine points. Lauren Sale placed 11th (6 points) with a 1:59.40, while Madison Frederick came in 15th (2 points) with a 2:02.67.
Emmie Jennings led a duo of Broncos scoring in the 100-yard freestyle placing 14th overall (3 points) with a 51.28, while Lauren Vitort placed 16th (1 point) clocking a 52.57. In the 200-yard breaststroke, Cassie Barkhorn recorded a 2:19.80 to take 16th (1 point). Meanwhile, Brittany Wen led Boise State in the 200-yard butterfly with a 12th-place finish (5 points) on a 2:04.50 in the B final.
Day three's career-best times came from: Martina Andrasek (50-yard backstroke, 26.45 / 200 back, 2:03.20), Barkhorn (200-yard breaststroke, 2:18.37), Emma Brady (50-yard freestyle, 24.11 / 100 free, 51.05), Frederick (100 free, 51.44 / 200 back, 2:01.29), Katie McCoy (50-yard butterfly, 26.61), Carly Palmer (50 breast, 28.94 / 100 free, 52.78), Ronquillio (50 free, 24.26), Lauren Sale (50 fly, 26.57), Anahi Schreuders (50 free, 24.67 / 50 breast, 30.66 / 200 breast, 2:22.22), Georgia Zacest (50 breast, 31.01 / 200 breast, 2:24.71) and Beatriz Zoppei (50 free, 24.31 / 50 breast, 31.35 / 50 fly, 25.90).
