LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The Boise State women's golf team notched a third-place finish at the NM State Aggie Invitational, Wednesday, led by top-25 finishes from sophomores Elli Gordon and Franca Polla.

The Broncos' team score of 876 (286-292-298, +12) is the second-lowest three-round total in strokes and relationship to par in program history.

"We continue to put ourselves in a position to compete in the final round," said head coach Kailin Downs. "Every experience is a learning opportunity and we have to be comfortable in that position because that's what this group is capable of."

Gordon shot just over par, carding rounds of 72-73-73 (+2) to finish tied for 11th and Polla recorded rounds of 72-72-77 (+5), tying for 17th.

Senior Elena Castanon (74-77-73, +8) and fifth-year Lexi Perry (68-76-80, +8) both finished tied for 31st.

Perry's 68 (-4) and Boise State's 286 (-2) during the first day of competition tied for the fourth-lowest in school history in individual low round and team low round.

Sophomore Hyeji (Emma) Yang (79-71-75, +9) rounded out the scoring for the Blue and Orange, finishing tied for 36th.

Next up for the Broncos is the Seattle U Pat Lesser-Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash., scheduled for Oct. 11-12.
