2022 Beach Volleyball Schedule Released

The Schedule
BOISE, Idaho - Boise State Athletics released the 2022 beach volleyball schedule on Tuesday. It features a full slate of 28 matches, the most in program history for a season. Highlighting the schedule are seven contests against teams that finished 2021 ranked in the top-20, nine matches versus teams from the Pacific-12 Conference, six against the Big West Conference and five versus the West Coast Conference.Â
Outside of teams and locations, much is still to be determined including the specific date and times for each opponent, which will be set by the host schools at each site. The final schedule details will be released in February.
The 2022 regular-season schedule will start the last week of February and span seven weekends during the spring semester and end the week of April 22-23.Â
It all begins in Phoenix, Ariz., Feb. 25-26 at Grand Canyon University. The first day of competition will feature a pairs tournament with two-person teams representing Boise State, GCU, Arizona and Arizona State. On Saturday (Feb. 26), they will revert to team duals with the four teams playing a complete round-robin.
The first weekend will stretch to Tuesday, March 1, as the Broncos travel to the northwest Phoenix suburbs to play at Ottawa University (Ariz.) in Surprise, Ariz.
Week two (March 4-5) has the Blue and Orange traveling to Tucson, Ariz., where it will face Hawai'i, Arizona State, Colorado Mesa and Santa Clara.
Boise State will head to Salem, Ore., for week three (March 11-12) of the campaign where they will take on Oregon, Portland, Bushnell and their host Corban.
The Broncos will begin spring break with a trip to California where they will open a busy slate at Northridge on Friday (March 19) playing both Southern Mississippi and CSUN. Boise State will then head up to San Luis Obispo for four contests March 20-21 against California, Houston Baptist, Santa Clara and the host school, Cal Poly.
April will start with the Broncos only home weekend of the season when they host the Boise State Beach Classic featuring Oregon and Washington on April 1-2.
The Blue and Orange will close out the season with two more road trips starting with four matches at Sacramento, Calif. The Broncos will play Santa Clara and San Jose State once each, while facing Sacramento State twice that weekend.Â
The final week of the campaign has Boise State in Salt Lake City, Utah, where they will play Arizona, Cal Poly, Salt Lake Community College and the host, Utah Utes. Â
