Broncos Battle Rebels to a Tie

LAS VEGAS - In the opening match of the 2021 spring season, Boise State women's soccer battled through two overtime periods to a 0-0 draw with UNLV.
Junior goalkeeper Sydney Smith made three saves in the opening match for her 14th career clean sheet. Senior Aubree Chatterton led the Bronco offense with three shots all of which were on target.
Transfer junior Dorian Goodwin added two shots of her own, while fellow transfer, sophomore Anna Campanella added a shot on goal. Sophomore Keile Hansen booted the Broncos' final shot on goal.
Campanellas' shot on goal in the 74 minute nearly gave put Boise State ahead, only a diving effort by the UNLV keeper kept the game square.
Boise State now travels to San Diego State to face off with the Aztecs, Sunday at 1 p.m. MT.
