WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State is back home in Boise as it hosts two matches this weekend against Dixie State (Aug. 26) and Pacific (Aug. 29). Boas Soccer Complex will also be hosting two neutral-site matches this weekend as North Dakota State is traveling to play Pacific (Aug. 26) and Dixie State (Aug. 29).

LAST TIME OUT: Boise State began its regular-season campaign by traveling to Salt Lake City for a matchup with Pac-12 Utah. In a physical, defensive match the Broncos were able to come out on top 1-0 thanks to a goal from the top of the penalty box by freshman Kenzie MacMillan.

RANKINGS AND AWARDS: The win over the Utes earned the Broncos regional recognition as they were ranked ninth in the United Soccer Coaches Pacific Region Rankings. Boise State also took home all three Mountain West Player of the Week awards. MacMillan earned herself Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors, while senior Macie Nelson was named the Defensive Player of the Week.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Broncos defense was stout in its shutout against Utah thanks in large part to the play of goalkeepers Genevieve Crenshaw and Sydney Smith. Smith started the game for the Broncos, but Crenshaw was credited with the win after coming on to start the second half. Boise State has made it clear they are comfortable playing either option, but who will start this weekend remains to be seen.

Boise State will be put to the test once again as they prepare to go up against Dixie State's Whitley Griffiths. The redshirt-junior has scored double-digit goals in each of her previous three seasons and already has two this season after scoring in both of her team's matches last week.

In addition, for the first time Boise State will be selling match tickets in advance for all soccer home contests in 2021.

Masks will be required for those in attendance and a clear-bag policy will be enforced at the gate. Details on the clear-bag policy will be linked below. Boise State also announced that alcohol will now be available for purchase at soccer matches throughout the season. Fan reentry into the stadium will not be permitted.

Prices for admission to individual matches during the season remain the same for 2021: $6 for adults, $4 for juniors (high school age and younger) and seniors 62 or older. Boise State students with valid ID card and children two and under get in for free.
