Liborio named MW Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State's Pedro Liborio has been named the first Mountain West Men's Tennis Freshman of the Week as announced Wednesday by the league office. Liborio helped Boise State to a 7-0 victory over Portland State in the season opener last Friday at Eugene, Ore.

In his collegiate debut at Eugene, Ore., Liborio easily defeated Portland State's Oliver Richards in straight sets at No. 2 singles 6-1, 6-3. His victory helped secure the sweep over the Vikings. 

In his singles match at Washington on Monday, Liborio battled the Huskies No. 2 player Jack Davis to a first set tiebreaker before coming up short 10-8, he eventually fell to the more experienced Husky 6-7(8), 6-2.

Boise State went 1-2 over the weekend suffering a pair of losses at Pacific-12 Conference schools Oregon and Washington.
