Laramie, Wyo. – Head coach Jim Thomas notched his 100th-career victory as Boise State women's soccer claimed its first Mountain-West win of the season in 2-0 fashion over Wyoming, Sunday.
The Broncos (5-2-6, 1-0-3 MW) opened the scoring early as Kenzie MacMillan fielded a bouncing ball in the box and smashed it past the keeper, giving the Blue and Orange a 1-0 lead in the third minute. Genevieve Crenshaw saved both of the Cowgirls' (2-5-4, 1-2-1 MW) shots on goal as Boise State entered the break with a 1-0 lead.
In the 56th minute Ashly Berge carried the ball down the right wing and delivered a pinpoint cross that found the head of Morgan Stone before going to the back of the net, doubling the lead for Boise State. The Broncos handled the remaining Cowgirl chances well to preserve a record-breaking sixth-consecutive shutout in a single season.
