Lalotte Leads Broncos Past Vikings

BOISE, Idaho – Elodie Lalotte recorded a career-high for the second straight game, scoring 25 points to lead Boise State past Portland State 71-61, Sunday, at ExtraMile Arena.
The Broncos (3-2) opened the game with a 14-7 run, but the Vikings (2-2) settled in and responded, tying the game at 17 with a layup right before the first quarter ended. Lalotte took charge in the second, scoring nine of her 13 first-half points to help give Boise State a 31-30 halftime lead.
After trading baskets in the first three minutes of the second half, the Broncos used a 12-0 run to open up the game. Lalotte, Abby Muse and Mandy Simpson each scored six points in the third quarter to give the team a 55-43 entering the final quarter. The Vikings could only manage to cut the Broncos lead to eight in the final quarter as Boise State sealed the victory.
