Bronco Duo Earns MW Weekly Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Boise State track and field sophomore Trent Missamore was tabbed the Mountain West Men's Track Athlete of the Week, while newcomer Abby Stamper was named the MW Women's Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. The duo's honors follow their performances at the Spokane Invitational, Dec. 10.
Missamore clocked a time of 1:21.16 in the men's 600m, setting a new personal record and earning the Broncos' lone event victory.
In her Bronco debut, Stamper garnered a silver-medal finish in the women's 800m, recording a personal best time of 2:13.43.
Following winter break, Boise State will split its squad and send student-athletes to both Spokane, Wash., for the Spokane Indoor Challenge, and Seattle, Wash., for the UW Indoor Preview, Jan. 13-14.
