FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Boise State track and field senior Kristie Schoffield punched her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the women's 800-meter race, clocking the fastest time in the quarterfinals at the NCAA West Preliminary Round.

Schoffield's journey to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., began Thursday. In the first round of the 800m race, the Concord, N.H., native registered the fastest mark in the field of 48 student-athletes with a time of 2:03.82.

In addition to Schoffield and Menegatti, three freshmen women competed during the meet's final day, each making their Boise State debuts at the west preliminary.
