Boise State Announces NCAA Woman of the Year Nominees

BOISE, Idaho – Emily Muhlenhaupt and Kelsey Lalor have been selected as Boise State's NCAA Woman of the Year nominees for 2021-22.
 
Muhlenhaupt is a three-time Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association All-America First Team selection on bars.
 
A native of Castle Rock, Colo., she earned All-Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference First Team on bars four times, is a two-time bars champion and three-time MRGC Specialist of the Year.
 
Muhlenhaupt is a four-time WCGA Scholastic All-American and five-time Academic All-MRGC honoree. In 2022, she was named CoSIDA Academic All-District.
 
Lalor led Boise State softball to a 40-win season and was selected All-Mountain West First Team and second-team all-region.
 
She ranked among the MW leaders in several categories, including doubles (tied-first, 15), slugging percentage (third, .724), home runs (tied-fifth, 13), runs (tied-fifth, 39), RBI (tied-sixth, 46), hits (ties-seventh, 56) and batting average (eighth, .368).
 
A native of Red Deer, Alberta, Lalor was a three-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete and three-time Academic All-Mountain West selection.
 
The NCAA Woman of the Year Award was established in 1991 and in 2022 is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Title IX.
 
The top 30 honorees, including 10 from Division I, will be honored at the NCAA Convention scheduled to take place in San Antonio in January 2023.
