Broncos Sweep Titles at General Patton Fall Invite

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State men's tennis wrapped up the first annual General Patton Fall Invitational by claiming both titles Sunday morning at the Appleton Tennis Center in Boise.

Senior Simon Arca Costas won the singles championship with a straight-set victory over Idaho's Matteo Masala 7-6(7), 6-1. Arca Costas rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the set one tiebreaker to take it 9-7, then cruised in the second to defeat Masala.

In doubles, Boise State's tandem of Michael Bott and Jan Lucca Marquardt outlasted Utah State's Javier Ruiz Medina and Roko Savin to claim the tournament title.

BRONCO LEADERS

Arca Costas went undefeated on the weekend finishing at 3-0 on his championship run.
Bott and Marquardt went 4-0 at the tournament to lead the Broncos in doubles.
Caden Moortgat and Arca Costas also won a doubles match on Sunday, 8-2 over Saint Mary's Felipe Rincon and Caelan Potts.

NOTABLES

Arca Costas' three singles victories moved him from 20^th on Boise State's career wins list into a tie for 17th with 74.

WHAT'S NEXT

Four members of the Boise State team will head to USAF Academy, Colo., for the ITA Bedford Cup next weekend.
