COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Eight former Broncos were selected for the Mountain West 25th Season Cross Country Teams, the conference announced Thursday.

The teams were selected by the MW 25th Season Committee as the conference looks to celebrate its 25th Season of excellence on and off the field of play.

Emma Bates
Bates was the 2014 MW Cross Country Athlete of the Year, as well as a two-time MW cross country champion. She became the first back-to-back cross country champion in both school and conference history, winning the 2013 and 2014 titles. Bates placed second at the 2014 NCAA West Regionals and third at the NCAA National Championships. She was also the 2013 NCAA National runner-up. Bates was awarded All-America honors in cross country for two-straight years.

Howard was also the runner-up at the MW Cross Country Championships the same year. She was a three-time MW Scholar-Athlete during her time at Boise State.

Allie Ostrander

Haller was a sixth-place finisher at the 2017 MW Championships and the top Bronco finisher at the 2018 MW Championships. He was a four-time All-MW honoree, being a first team selection in 2017 and 2019 and a second team selection in 2016 and 2018.
