LARAMIE, Wyo. – Boise State volleyball fell in three sets at Wyoming 25-14, 25-15, 25-17 Thursday night in Laramie, Wyo. The loss moved the Broncos to 11-10 overall and 7-4 in Mountain West play, good for third place.

Wyoming opened the match hot while the Broncos struggled to get started. The Cowgirls dominated the net, recording five blocks, and took control of the set early, then rode their energy to a 25-14 win.

Boise State took its first lead of the match at 6-5, only to see Wyoming regroup and roll off a 9-1 run to take a 14-7 advantage. The Broncos were unable to recover from that run as the Cowgirls claimed a 25-15 set two victory.

The third was similar to the first two sets, with the Cowgirls taking the lead early and slowly pulling away, eventually winning the period 25-17.

Top Broncos

Paige Bartsch recorded a team-high 14 kills to go with two service aces, one block assist, and a team-best 16.5 points.
Annie Kaminski added four kills and a team-high (tied) two blocks.

Notables

Bartsch has now reached double-digit kills in 20 of the 21 matches this season and led the team in scoring for the 19th time.

Boise State returns to action on Saturday when the Broncos take on the Colorado State Rams in Fort Collins; first serve will be at noon (Mountain) in Moby Arena.
