Broncos Shut Out Wolf Pack to Advance to Semifinals

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Boise State soccer shut out Nevada 2-0 in the opening round of the 2023 Mountain West Soccer Championship on Sunday afternoon to advance to the semifinals.
The Broncos (11-3-6, 8-2-1 MW) came into the match ready to take care of business as Kenzie MacMillan launched a shot from outside the penalty box into the back of the net, giving the Broncos a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute. The Blue and Orange extended their lead 2-0 when Sophie Drown netted her second goal of the season, assisted by Carly Cross, in the 34th minute.
The defensive line held the Wolf Pack (6-10-5, 4-6-1 MW) to only 11 shots, with Bronco goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw recording four saves.
