The Boise State women's tennis team travels to Long Beach, Calif., to compete in the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament, Oct. 6-8.

- UP NOW: Boise State will travel to Long Beach, Calif., for the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament, Oct. 6-8.
- WHO'S IN: Seven Broncos will travel to Long Beach, Calif., for the competition. Joana Baptista and Ana Conde Vendrell will pair up, as well as Ariadna Briones Ginesta and Shauna Heffernan. Bhakti Shah and Ella Piron will round out the Bronco competition on the doubles side of the tournament. All six will compete in singles as well, alongside Ryan Kershner.
- LAST TIME OUT: Pauline Ernstberger and Heffernan reached the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American Championships, the best finish in the Pre-Qualifying Draw from a Bronco duo at the event since 2008. The tandem defeated pairs from Penn, 8-5, and Memphis, 8-7(5), before falling to Wisconsin in a tiebreak, 8-7(3). Ernstberger also competed in the Qualifying Singles Draw of the tournament and was bested by Tanya Sasnouskaya (Texas), the No. 1 seed of the draw, 6-2, 6-3, in the opening round. The senior was then taken down by Csilla Fodor of Purdue, 6-2, 6-3. In the Qualifying Doubles Draw, Nicole Discenza and Lorelyz Marruffo lost to duos from TCU and Arizona, 8-5 and 8-6, respectively.
- SCOUTING THE FIELD: Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Long Beach State and UC Irvine will join Boise State at the Beach Tennis Fall Tournament. Last season, Long Beach State, Cal State Fullerton and CSUN all tied for second in the Big West Conference, with a 6-3 conference record. UC Irvine finished the season tied for eighth with a 2-7 conference record.
- MILESTONES TO WATCH: Baptista enters the weekend with 61 career doubles wins. The senior is currently tied with assistant coach Megan LaLone, with both sitting at No. 16 on the program's all-time win list.
