
Broncos Take Down Lobos

Albuquerque, N.M. – Boise State soccer took down conference rival New Mexico for the first time since 2019 with a 2-1 win Sunday afternoon.
The Broncos (6-2-6, 4-1-1 Mountain West) opened the scoring when Kenzie MacMillan took a shot, assisted by Carly Cross and Morgan Padour, from just outside the penalty box that landed in the right side of the net in the eighth minute of the match. Bronco goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw made four saves in the first half to maintain the Broncos' one-goal advantage entering the break.
The Broncos kept their foot on the gas as they extended their lead when Teryn Newkirk knocked in the first goal of her Boise State career off assists by Payton McBride and Evva Vail in the 52nd minute of the match.
The Lobos (4-4-4, 1-3-2 MW) netted one in the 68th minute, cutting Boise State's lead to 2-1. Despite an attempt in the 76th minute by New Mexico to tie the score, Crenshaw made a huge save to preserve the victory.
