
Bartsch Named MW Offensive Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Boise State junior Paige Bartsch has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for matches played Nov. 13-18. The accolade is Bartsch's third offensive player of the week honor of the season and fourth of her career.
Bartsch led Boise State to a big road sweep over the weekend, which secured a MW Championship berth with wins over Nevada (3-0) and Fresno State (3-1).
The native of Helena, Mont., combined for 42.5 points over the week, including 23 on Saturday at Fresno State to set the school record for points in a season with 598.
On the week, she averaged 19 kills and 21.25 points per match, both team highs, with per set averages of 5.43 kills, 0.29 service aces, 3.14 digs, 0.71 blocks and 6.07 points, while hitting a team-second-best .386 percent.
In the win at Nevada, Bartsch hit .438 for a team-high 17 kills with one service ace, nine digs, three block assists and 19.5 points.
During the victory at Fresno State, the junior hit .353 percent and recorded a double-double on a team-high 21 kills and 13 digs to go with one service ace, two block assists and 23.0 points.
Bartsch and her teammates enter the MW Championship as the No. 4 seed and will face 5th-seeded Fresno State in the first round at 2 p.m. (Mountain) on Wednesday (Nov. 22).
