Boise State Heads to South Point Classic

Boise State women's basketball will return to ExtraMile Arena for a contest against UC Davis. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on the MW Network and on 670 KBOI AM.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Head coach Gordy Presnell can pick up his 200th home win as the coach of Boise State on Wednesday. Presnell enters the contest with a 199-79 record at ExtraMile Arena.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos split their two games at the South Point Classic in Las Vegas. After dropping its first game to Santa Clara, 62-52, Boise State responded by defeating Rutgers, 68-65. The win over the Scarlet Knights marked the first win over a Power 5 school since defeating Washington on Dec. 16, 2018.

NATIONAL LEADERS

Abby Muse currently leads the nation with 4.2 blocks per game. The senior has blocked 22 shots over her last four games, including three-straight games with six blocks each. On the other side of the ball, Boise State enters Wednesday's contest eighth in the nation in 3-point percentage, shooting 40.8% from beyond the arc.

THE OPPONENT

UC Davis sits at 2-3 on the year and is coming off a 79-57 win over Sacramento State. The Aggies have played one Mountain West opponent so far, falling 77-68 to San Diego State on Nov. 13. The all-time series is tied 2-2, with UC Davis winning the most recent contest, winning 69-62 on Nov. 17, 2022.

SOPHOMORE START

Natalie Pasco was named to the South Point Classic All-Tournament Team after a dominant performance in Las Vegas. Pasco averaged 16.5 points per game at the event, shooting 41.4% from the field and 46.7% from beyond the arc.
