Broncos Fall in Mountain West Semifinals

LAS VEGAS – A 26-point second half allowed a Utah State comeback as Boise State men's basketball was knocked off in the semifinal round of the 2023 Mountain West Tournament, 72-62, Friday night at the Thomas & Mack Center.Â
After a strong first half on both ends of the floor, the Broncos (24-9, 13-5 MW) were held to just just 1-13 shooting across a 8:43 stretch late in the game, enabling the Aggies (26-7, 13-5 MW) to take their first lead of the game with 7:45 on the clock. Utah State connected on three of its final four shots from the field down the stretch to defeat defending-champion Boise State.
