Forward transfers from St. John's with two years of eligibility

BOISE, Idaho – O'Mar Stanley has signed a valid FAC to join the Boise State men's basketball team, head coach Leon Rice announced today. The junior forward joins the Broncos as a transfer from St. John's, and originally played for Link Year Prep in Branson, Mo., founded by former Boise State player Adam Donyes.

The 6-foot-8, 233-pound forward has a 7-foot-2 wingspan and joins the Broncos with two years of eligibility remaining.

ST. JOHN'S CAREER

AS A SOPHOMORE (2022-23): Appeared in 31 games making 18 starts, averaging 15 minutes a contest…averaged 4.7 points per game and 2.7 rebounds per game…added 24 blocks, second on the team…shot a team-high 45.5% from beyond the arc…averaged 5.7 points per game and 6.0 rebounds per game when playing at least 20 minutes…scored in double figures on four occasions.

AS A FRESHMAN (2021-22): Appeared in 30 games off the bench…averaged 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game…added eight blocks and 14 steals…shot a team-high 60% from the field…scored 14 points off 7-for-7 from the floor in his debut against Mississippi Valley State.

PREP CAREER

A three-star recruit out of Link Year Prep in Branson, Mo….prior to Link Year Prep was named to the Class 6A All-State second team as a senior at Blue Valley West High School in Overland Park, Kan.

Born in Houston, Texas…son of Christy and Joe Lillis…has four siblings: Joey, Justin, Jacob and Lauren.
