BOISE, Idaho — Boise State and Nebraska have agreed to play a nonconference, neutral-site game during the upcoming 2026-27 regular season on Nov. 15, it was announced on Thursday.

"The respect and admiration I have for coach Hoiberg and the Nebraska program is endless, and we are incredibly excited to play the Cornhuskers in Sioux Falls in November," said Boise State head coach Leon Rice. We find great value in scheduling quality nonconference opponents year-over-year, and we look forward to playing a team that's fresh off an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. We greatly appreciate the hospitality of Sanford Pentagon and we can't wait to compete in a first-class venue in front of Bronco Nation."

Taking place at Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, home of the NBA G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Broncos and Cornhuskers will meet for just the second time in program history. The two teams played in the semifinal round of the inaugural College Basketball Crown in April 2025, with Nebraska defeating Boise State, 79-69.

Dating back to 1982, Boise State has played 12 games against nine Big Ten schools. The Broncos went head-to-head with USC last season in the Maui Invitational, narrowly losing to the Trojans by one possession.

The 2026-27 season represents Boise State's first as a member of the Pac-12. The Broncos will officially join the conference on July 1.
