LOGAN, Utah – With the overall score tied at three, Nicole Discenza delivered the decisive blow with a straight-set singles victory to secure the win for the Boise State women's tennis team over No. 72 Fresno State, Friday afternoon in Utah.

The Broncos (11-10, 4-6 MW) built a 3-1 lead in the match after winning the doubles point and singles matches at positions two and three. The Bulldogs (9-12, 3-6 MW) retaliated by winning on courts four and six, making Discenza's match on court five an all-deciding affair. The Venezuelan delivered with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Fresno State's Mariya Vyshkina to give Boise State its first victory over a ranked opponent since 2011.

"This is a great match to end the regular season on as we head into the conference tournament next week. Boise State's win over 72nd-ranked Fresno State marks the first victory over a ranked opponent since beating No. 54 Oregon, March 21, 2011.
